F-16 Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Life Extension

Solid State Disks Ltd

Dependable Data Storage Solutions

We offer high reliability solid-state replacement drives for a wide variety of military and aerospace equipment.

If you have an HP-IB/HP1000/Bering F-16 Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) system, that uses the CS/80 command set, and its hard disk drive is starting to fail, or you fear it might soon, we can help.

ARRAID is a wholly owned subsidiary of Solid State Disks Limited (SSDL) and its AEM-8 can replace HP 79XX HP-IB disk drives and aging and refurbished HP CS/80 drives using ARRAID’s proprietary solid-state ARRAID Flash Drive (AFD) technology to store data.

The AEM-8 can also replace any obsolete disk drive made by Bering Engineering.

No host system software or controller changes are required to replace a HP CS/80 refurbished drive with the AEM-8.

The AEM-8 provides a complete bridge between the host HPIB controller and the AEM’s SCSI drives. These drives have been used on HP-1000, 3000 and 9000 computers in a variety of applications.

The ARRAID AEM-8 can replace the following HP CS/80 devices:

7907, 7908, 7911, 7912, 7914, 7933, 7935, 7936, 7937, 7941, 7942, 7945, 7946, 7957, 7958, 7959, C2200, C2203, 9144 (tape), and 9145 (tape).

Additional HP CS/80 device emulations, those that are similar to those listed above, are possible:

7906, 7920, 7925, 7961, 7962, 7963, and C2202.

The ARRAID AEM-8 can replace the following Bering Technology devices:

OptiPac-3, Model 8611LX, 8611, 8601, 8601LT, 8601LX, 8032AF, 8631AF, 8602, and 8502.

The ARRAID drive will emulate the behaviour of your legacy drive. This means your host system requires no changes and it will treat the replacement drive as if it were the original part. In addition, you benefit from the high reliability, improved performance (such as fast and simplified memory erase for security) and reduced noise and power consumption that all come through switching to latest technology solid-state memory.
