iSMART gives valuable information on the health of the Compact Flash (CF) cards used in our emulators. This information can help you schedule the maintenance of your host system based on the condition of the cards.
All solid-state disks use self-monitoring, analysis and reporting technology (SMART) to determine and make available their state of health.
iSMART provides you with full access to all SMART related data on our (and only our) CF cards through a simple and user-friendly software interface. In addition, alerts can be set to warn when performance limits are being reached, allowing measures to be taken before a failure occurs. These alerts can be emailed to you.
Dashboard
This provides a summary or quick snapshot of each of the installed disks.
The dashboard provides, for both cards, accurate information regarding operating temperature, memory wear/health, used and free capacity and estimated remaining life.
Current Status
Device Information page provides additional data, such as Power Status and Partitions. It also details device serial number, firmware version, interface and features.
You can also access additional information about your CF card(s) via the S.M.A.R.T tab.
Performance Analysis
When activated, the iAnalyzer tab displays the read/write behaviour of the CF in real time.
This gives you a clear picture of the card’s usage. Sequential and random I/Os are broken down into percentages making them easy to read.
