SCSIFlash Nominated for Three Awards in 2026, Following 2025 Manufacturing Innovation Win

SCSIFlash recognised again in 2026: winner of the Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Award US 2025, finalist for Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Award UK 2026, and finalist for two categories at the Instrumentation and Electronics Awards 2026

Reading, United Kingdom. 2 September 2026. Solid State Disks Limited’s (SSDL’s) SCSIFlash technology has been nominated for three separate awards categories in 2026, on top of its win at the Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Awards US 2025.

SCSIFlash Network has been shortlisted as a finalist for a Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Award UK 2026, in the ‘Most Innovative Hybrid Cloud/Edge Architecture for Manufacturing’ category. SCSIFlash has also been shortlisted in two categories at the Instrumentation and Electronics Awards 2026: ‘Aerospace, Military & Defence Product of the Year’ and ‘Embedded Solution Product of the Year’.

“Three nominations in one year, on the back of last year’s win, tells you this isn’t a one-off,” commented James Hilken, Sales Director of SSDL. “SCSIFlash is doing the same job everywhere it turns up: giving equipment that would otherwise be scrapped a genuine second life, whether that’s on a factory floor, in a defence platform, or inside an embedded system.”

The nomination for SCSIFlash Network recognises its ability to bring modern connectivity to legacy manufacturing equipment. By networking solid-state replacement drives over Ethernet, SCSIFlash Network lets operators pull disk images, monitor drive health and manage backups remotely, without needing to touch the host system the drive is fitted to.

SSDL’s SCSIFlash technology provides solid-state, form-fit-function replacements for legacy electromechanical drives using SCSI (SASI, SCSI-1, SCSI-2), PATA/IDE or ESDI interfaces. The Network variant adds an Ethernet interface, so the drive can be managed via SSDL’s Flash2GUI software for disk imaging, backups and other memory management tasks, from anywhere on the network.

“Being shortlisted in a hybrid cloud/edge category, and in aerospace and defence categories at the same time, shows just how broadly this technology applies,” Hilken added. “It’s about giving ageing equipment a genuine route into a connected, data-driven operation, wherever that equipment happens to sit.”

SSDL won the Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Award US 2025 in the ‘Most Innovative Use of Reverse Engineering’ category, recognising its work reverse-engineering legacy SCSI drives used across semiconductor fabrication.
